Something beautiful and new

Stunning "mise en scène" as seen in the French production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

It's All Over

Tonight sees the end of just over two weeks of endeavour, endurance and the quest for the achievement of excellence in entertainment. No, not the Olympics. I mean the Edinburgh Fringe.

I was delighted to perform tonight at the closing ceremony, sorry, show at the amazing Bongo Club Cabaret. Three of my five Fringe spots were here, and I loved every minute- especially getting to see so many fabulous acts of every conceivable variety- acrobats, poets, clowns, singers, dancers, and a good number of indescribable people who don't sit well in a descriptive box.

I wish I'd actually taken some sodding photos.

Salty Meat Girl

Pictured is the incredible and unique Kitten On The Keys, performing at the Underbelly Cow Cafe. What can I say, this lady embodies the Fringe spirit for me -she has a memorable act combining superb piano playing, singing, songwriting, a love of smut and the ability to carry a Toys R Us piano across town. I especially enjoyed continually bumping into her in various Cabaret dressing rooms.

All Of The Planet's Wonders

This was one of the two (count them- two) shows I actually went to see at this years Fringe. And I was glad I did. Josie Long was very funny and her show was a delight.

Backstage at Belladrum

Having the absolute best time in the Cabaret tent! It looks weird from the back.

All aboard

... The first train to Inversneck. Heading to Belladrum festival, here's hoping for enough reception to do a little live blogging...
