Bee bumble and his stinger

We had a lot of very heavy rain in Glasgow on Tuesday, which meant our recurrent leakage problem returned with a vengeance. While absorbed in a Document Recovery Process in the front room (involving a years worth of paperwork, towels and a hairdryer), I noticed a couple of these chaps on the window sill.
I could get really close without scaring them, and could see that a) they were really furry and b) they were really out of breath. Perhaps they'd been out on a honey gathering mission, had got caught in the rain and their fur had got soaked, making them very heavy and therefore making flying very hard work. Then they stopped on our ledge to dry out and have a bit of a breather.
Maybe I should have offered a shot on the hairdryer.

Lulu on the 42

This wee darling often gets on my bus to work in the morning, safely snuggled inside her owner's anorak. Her name's Lulu, I don't know much about dogs so no idea what breed she is, but she's adorable.
