Citrucide

Tonight's dinner needed a squeeze of lemon juice. So we harvested the one wee fruit from our little lemon plant. Very tasty too! And I've planted the seeds that were squeezed out. Fingers crossed.

Seamus at 6 weeks old

I don't often blog about my plants but this boy is a special one.
On 13th March, I visited the "Grow Your Own Luck" stall at Mischief La Bas' Market of Optimism in Dumfries. I was permitted to select a little plant pot, some compost, and to then plant my own choice of various lucky bean and seeds therein. I was then given a little lucky magic dust (glitter!) to sprinkle on top. I took my little pot of luck home, put it on the windowsill and watered to encourage the luck to grow.
Three weeks later, at Easter, I noticed a tiny little green shoot was coming up. We decided to call him Seamus. He's now a whopping 17 cm tall, and I have recently discovered, is destined to become a beautiful sunflower. I'll try and blog his progress regularly.
